Fourth Film Favs

by Amy on July 17, 2011

Why hello, there, internet! Here’s a rare Sunday blog post to share a slide show of my favorite images from the 4th of July weekend. You may recall my decision to spend the holiday weekend away from technology so I could have some quality time with my film gear. Now that all the film has been developed and scanned and reviewed, I am certain I made the right decision. I love the images I captured that weekend (and I hope you will, too)! There were far too many for a blog post, so while I spent the afternoon working on some edits from yesterday’s wedding, I let Animoto create a little slide show for me. More photographs for you! For the most awesome viewing experience (and who doesn’t want an awesome viewing experience?) I recommend watching in HD and full screen.

Geek speak: Too much gear to mention! I was using my Canon EOS 3, Elan 7e (100mm 2.8 macro, 50 1.4 and 28-75 2.8) and my Mamiya 645 (80mm 2.8). A lot of the carnival and parade images are Kodak Ektar, but there is also Kodak Portra 800 and a decent amount of Fuji 400H mixed in, as well.

Some lovely shots, Amy! The school of dolphin balloons was fabulous and of course my ovaries exploded over the twins in the double stroller. And seriously, ya gotta love the kid who looks like he just swiped his very own Angry Bird. ;o)

Fabulous work, lady.

He won his Angry Bird fair and square. I, however, was tempted to swipe it. LOL
