Super Early Girl

A lone car in a parking garage in Arlington Heights, IL

I have a reputation for being early. Super early. Between being anxious about being late and (especially in the case of weddings, events or portrait sessions) being so excited to get started, I often arrive at my intended destinations an hour early. Sometimes I think of this early time as time I’ve wasted. But lately, I’ve taken to grabbing my camera and wandering around wherever it is that I find myself. Such was the case one Sunday morning when I arrived to the library hours before it opened. Well, to be honest, this had far more to do with my forgetting the library opens late on Sundays than it did with being Super Early Girl, but the end result was the same – I got to play around and push my equipment a bit. For the film nerds, this is Portra 400 underexposed by 2 stops and then processed regularly. A little grainier than I’d like for regular use, but it’s nice to know how far I can push it if necessary. Check out some more of my parking garage adventures below.

I love you even more now! I’m always, always, always early… and get anxious even when I’ve left behind schedule but “on time.”

Oooh flipping love the left of the diptych. Also, you cna have some of my (non-work-related) lateness! It’d even out quite nicely I think 🙂
