Still Plugging Along | Amy and Emily Invade Lincoln Park

by Amy on January 16, 2011

I thought I’d drop off some personal work while I plug away at setting up galleries and whatnot behind the scenes.

My niece (a budding photographer with her new (to her) Canon film camera) and I made the trek out to Lincoln Park yesterday to visit the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and the Lincoln Park Zoo. One of the highlights was getting to see the baby White Cheeked Gibbon, just barely a week old. The momma stopped her swinging as we approached the enclosure and came over and sat right down in front of Emily. Because no one, not even white cheeked gibbons, can resist Emily’s magnetic personality.

There are some photographs from the big gun (Canon 5D Mark II) and some from the iPhone. I have to say, the iPhone was one of the best things that happened to me last year. With the cold, cold temperatures, we didn’t want to take our gear out very often outdoors, because it would fog up each time we visited an indoor enclosure. The iPhone allowed me to nab some cute outdoors snapshots and video clips that we would have otherwise missed.

Anyway, enough blabbering – I bring you photographs!
